in Ancient Greece. The write-up highlighted how Greek society, from its simple diet and unique social
institutions like symposia to its evolving art and sculpture, reflected a civilisation rich in thought and
creativity. It also shed light on the profound influence of Greek philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, and
Aristotle and the revolutionary contributions of Hippocrates to medicine. By combining mythology, philosophy, and social realities, this illustrated how the ideas and cultural foundations of Ancient Greece continue to shape modern perspectives on art, democracy, knowledge, and human nature.

legendary works such as the Mahabharata, Ramayana, and Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki Krishnamurthy go far
beyond traditional narratives. Through their stories of heroism, conflict, and moral dilemmas, these epics
reveal the cultural values, philosophical ideas, and human emotions that have shaped Indian society for
centuries. By revisiting these memories, the write-up shows how epic literature continues to inspire
reflection, reinterpretation, and a deeper understanding of humanity across generations.

As this journey through time comes to an end, the Glory and Ashes series reminds us that history is far
more than a collection of distant events. It is a living narrative shaped by the ambitions, struggles, and ideas of those who came before us. From ancient civilizations to transformative rulers and cultural legacies, each story tells us how the past continues to echo in our present. Though the series concludes here, the curiosity it inspires does not end. Instead, it invites us to keep exploring and learning, ensuring that the voices of the past continue to guide the stories yet to be written.
