Christmas is the most awaited festive season of the year that comes in the cold December. It is such a magical time filled with joy and happiness. The Christmas Carols, pretty decorations, beautiful gifts, and Christmas trees give us the pleasant vibe of the season.

Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ. A story that seems to take place in a stable, in Bethlehem in Israel. In this stable, the pregnant Mary spends the night with her husband Joseph on a long journey. On this night she gives birth to her child, Jesus. When he is around 30 years of age, he becomes a public figure. He gathers a group of friends around him and together they travel throughout the country. Everywhere he goes he talks about the love of God. He is quite radical and especially addresses the spiritual leaders of the country about their hypocritical beliefs. Jesus’ message is simple: “Love God above all things and love your neighbor more than yourself.” Many people embraced this message, much to the displeasure of the country’s leaders. Jesus is sentenced to death when he is 33 years old and died on the cross in Jerusalem.

Christmas is a festival full of culture and tradition. The festival entails a lot of preparations. Preparations for Christmas start early for most people. Preparations for Christmas involve a lot of things including buying decorations, food items, and gifts for family members and friends. People usually wear white or red colored outfits on the day of Christmas.

The celebration begins with decorating a Christmas tree. Christmas tree decoration and lighting are the most important part of Christmas. The Christmas tree is an artificial or real pine tree that people adorn with lights, artificial stars, toys, bells, flowers, gifts, etc. People also hide gifts for their loved ones. Traditionally, gifts are hidden in socks under the tree. It is an old belief that a saint named Santa Claus comes on the night of Christmas eve and hides presents for well-behaved kids. This imaginary figure brings a smile to everyone’s face, despite their age.

The season is full of color and generosity associated with the spiritual teachings that we all can follow to make up our lives. Let us together make the world a better place for all humans to smile happily through selfless love, forgiveness, and unity. May the red, white, and the green of this magical Christmas sparkle our lives and bring eternal joy to all hearts, and soothe all sizzling fires burning all worldly souls.
