Reminiscing the good old twenty O five
Back when we were young and naive
The hide n seeks and the pillow fights
Kept flooding over my mind that night.
Returning back to our childhood town
The nostalgia of familiarity all around
Bemused by the consistency then and now
A souvenir of friendship and the eternal love.
The window seat beside our room
A realm of fantasy no one knew
Concealed from reality and the daily cues
Tears welled my eyes anew
Pencil lines drawn on walls
Traces for all the years flown
Empty, bare and forlorn
Our old home now stands alone
The broken playthings , the graffitied walls
Rooms of laughter and playful calls
Memories faded, long gone
Farewell to our childhood ghosts
