The 27th Rotaract District Assembly was successfully held on the 1st of July 2017, at The Blue Water, Wadduwa with the participation of over 500 Rotaractors from the Rotaract District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The incoming District Rotaract Representative, Rtr. PP Anuradha Senanayake was collared and the District Committee for the Rotaract term 2017-18 was appointed. The hardwork of Rotaract Clubs and Rotaractors was recognized.
The Rotaract Club of Faculty of Science, University of Colombo was able to receive the following awards at 27th Rotaract District Assembly which was held on the 1st of July 2017.
- Most Outstanding Community Service project in the category of “Education and Literacy Support” (Platinum award) – Project “Akhankhara”
- Gold award for the Most Outstanding Community Service project in the category of Peace and Reconciliation (Gold award) – Project Coexist
- Platinum award for Best Reporting Club
- President of the month of February (President Rtr. Yasas Diyanananda)
- Spirit of Service for the year 2016-17 (Vice President Rtr. Nirun Lashanga)
