Hunger???? What is “hunger”?
It’s the need of eating or taking meals to supply enough energy for metabolic activities in our body which aid to live. That was in a scientific aspect as we are science students. But generally, hunger is the basic need of every living being. If we just look at each and every living being’s life activities every activity is done to fight hunger and find meals.
Even almost all human beings are able to find their own meals there are people who are unable to do it without help of others. So rotaractors of faculty of science thought to help these people for one of their meal and lend a helping hand to fight their hunger .
All the rotaractors gathered in university premises in the morning 28th of July with hearts filled with kindness carrying the rice packets prepared by their mothers and family members with the hope of sharing them with poor people. With laughters of joy they went to Bellanwila temple and are around Bellanvila and Pillawa to distribute lunch packets. Surprise faces of people on road could be seen when a bunch of university students were sharing meals with poor people e on roads and around. By the end of the day We were able to share more than hundred of lunch packets and see the joy of the faces of poor people.
More than everything happy faces of those innocent people was the greatest thing to see. Even though it was a very sunny day none of us felt tired or hungry even we walked for many miles because of the happiness which overtook us by seeing the joyful eyes of people we shared meals with. May be they haven’t eat for days. May be they haven’t had a good meals in their life time. Children might have never eaten such a complete good meals since they are born as they were fighting with poverty. In my life it was one of the most memorable day. Those thank giving words they said for us were echoing in our minds when we were on our way back. That is why we joined rotaract. To help people in need. To have the greatest happiness which couldn’t be taken by any other way.
